A typical trailing suction hopper configuration includes one or two drag arms fitted with suction heads and jetting systems, allowing the vessel to remove sediment from the seabed while underway. The dredged mixture is pumped into the central hopper, where solids settle and excess water is discharged through overflow or dewatering arrangements. Real‑time monitoring of dredge depth, production rate, hopper loading, and positioning allows the crew to achieve high precision and efficiency, even in heavily trafficked or environmentally sensitive areas.Accommodation on board is designed for extended deployments and includes cabins, mess rooms, workshops, and control spaces, all arranged in compliance with international standards for crew comfort and safety.
