3. main power equipments

3.1 One set grapple in the grapple room

4. engine room arrangement descriptions

 location of engine room

engine room is located between #57~#73, total length is9600mm, breadth 9200mm. engine room hatch is located between frame # 72~#74of starboard. Installed ladder directly linked to the main deck.

#53~#54 of portside installed vertical ladder directly linked to the main deck.

 

4.2 Two auxiliary engine sets, located symmetrically at portside and starboard, mid span 1100mm, installed between frame #67~#71. Details refer to arrangement plan of auxiliary engine room.

 

5. brief introduction of all the systems

 fuel oil system

one fuel oil tanks installed at frame #42~#48 each of portside and starboard, with a total storage capacity up to 90ton.. Two daily fuel oil tank (capacity 500L) installed in the front of the starboard of the auxiliary engine room. The fuel oil shall be pumped to daily fuel oil tank from oil cabin via fuel oil pump for the auxiliary engine. One daily fuel oil tank with a capacity of 1.8m3 installed in the grapple room, for the use of the grapple in service time. The oil supply is achieved by fuel oil pump, seamless Steel Pipe and metal hose from the oil cabin.

 

 lub oil system

Lubrication of auxiliary engine and grapple is internal system, external pipe lines are not required. Auxiliary engine and grapple shall be regularly supplied with lub oil and the lub oil in the oil sump tank shall be changed regularly. Hence lub oil tank shall be installed for the storage of lub oil. The lub oil tank is installed at the back of the starboard of auxiliary engine room, storage capacity is 600L.

 

 cooling system

At frame #57~#73 of starboard and portside each equipped with one fresh water tank for cooling. In service time if the water outside board is too feculent, the auxiliary engine and grapple shall directly take water from fresh water tank for cooling. At frame #71~#73 of each side of auxiliary engine room installed one sea chest. The two sea chest are inter connected by DN150 steel pipe, to supply water reserve for cooling of auxiliary engine and grapple as well as water for firefighting and ballast water. Auxiliary engine and grapple each equipped with one set sea water pump(the two sea water Pumps are of self-priming type), the cooling of auxiliary engine and grapple is realized by cooling water via the sea water pump. Auxiliary engine and grapple are equipped with fresh water circulating pump to realize closed cooling. In consideration of the height of the grapple, one set sea water cooling pump is installed in the auxiliary engine room connected in series with the sea water pump of the diesel engine of the grapple, for cooling of grapple. Refer to basic diagram of cooling pipe lines.(XED995-463-01)

 

 exhaust system

Exhaust pipe of auxiliary engine exhaust air to the top from the superstructure above the auxiliary engine. Exhaust pipe of grapple exhaust air directly from the top of the auxiliary engine room. The inlet mouth of exhaust equipped with expansion joint, and the outlet mouth is equipped with silencer. Surface temperature of exhaust pipe and silencer are not more than 60℃.

 

 air compressing system

Installed one set air compressor, model  KY-Ⅱ, one low pressure air bottle with capacity of 100L, pressure 1MPa. Compress air for the use of siren, auxiliary engine room overhaul shop and blow wash of sea chest.

 

 Sewage with dirty oil treatment system

Installed one set oil-water separator, model YSCZ-0.25DM, one tank for dirty oil and sewage with capacity of 700L, and one tank for oil residue with capacity of 400L. All installed at starboard of auxiliary engine room.

Sewage with oil from bilge can be pumped to the tank for dirty oil and water via hand pump and collected there, then regularly transported to the oil-water separator to be treated. Or the sewage with oil from bilge can be treated directly via oil-water separator. After treatment in the oil-water separator, oil residue is transported to the oil residue tank, clean water discharged to outboard. Oil residue in the tank can be pumped via hand pump or discharge connector of international standard on the deck and discharged regularly at dirty oil collecting place at the port.

Sewage with dirty oil in the grapple room can be collected to sewage and dirty oil tank in the auxiliary engine room via oil collecting pan by the crew for treatment.

 

 bilge, ballast and firefighting water system

Installed 2sets80CWZ-8 type electrical self-priming centrifugal pumps for use of bilge/base pump and firefighting/ballast pump/, each as standby pump for the other. Pressure meter and vacuum meter are installed at the inlet and outlet mouth of the pump.

Bilge water system: branch pipe of each subdivision equipped with inlet non return valve and stop check valve, discharge water via main pipe of bilge, bilge pump to out board.  

Firefighting/ballast water system: inlet of sea water via main sea water pipe and transported to the engine room, main deck, fire hydrant of deckhouse and Miscellaneous connector of deck via firefighting/ballast pump. Ballast water in ballast water tank can be discharged via firefighting/ballast pump. International shore connecting equipped on the main deck for the firefighting water pump.

Details of arrangements of relevant system refer to drawing of bilge, ballast and firefighting system.

 

 depth sounding, venting, water discharge, inlet system

Empty tank, ballast tank and fresh tank equipped with air pipe head without flame

screen, oil cabin, oil tank and dirty oil and sewage tank etc. are all equipped with air pipe head with flame screen. All liquid tank and empty tank are equipped with depth sounding pipe. Details refer to drawing of depth sounding, vent, and inlet pipe system and drawing of discharge water pipe system.

 

 vent system of auxiliary engine room

Two ventilators (reversible) model CZ-35A installed in the auxiliary engine room.

Ventilators are equipped with mushroom cowling, capable of emergency shut down. Ventilators installed near the back of auxiliary engine room, with height of approx 760mm from the main deck. Ventilators let in fresh air in auxiliary engine room via main vent pipe, and then fresh air will be distributed to auxiliary engine, distribution board, working platform and each part of auxiliary engine room via branch vent pipe, to make sure working staff feel easy during service time at each part of auxiliary engine room. Doors and windows can be used for natural ventilation.

 

6. deck equipments

6.1 anchor winch

Installed four hydraulic winches, at frame #54, #58 of main deck on both sides. Diameter of steel cable is about 30mm. Special hydraulic power station equipped in the engine room. Hydraulic winch of local operation(unit operation only), also of remote control operation in the control room(unit operation or linked operation). Conversion device of local operation-remote control installed at local control. One electrical emergency pump set installed in the engine room.

6.2 grapple    

At frame#16 installed one dredging grab machine. Power system of it is of integral system, gyration of grapple is of hydraulic power and control.

Electrical part

 

The vessel is grab dredger for service in coastal area. Design of electrical part are in compliance with relevant rules and regulations of Peoples Republic of China of 2004 and China Classification Society of 2001. The radio equipments are equipped in compliance with requirements of A1 coastal area.

 

1. electrical system and principle parameters

 main electrical power:3PH AC insulation 400V, 50HZ

 power of power system: 3 PH AC insulation 380V, 50HZ

 normal lighting system and part of accommodation equipments: AC 200V, 50HZ, two wire

insulation system.

 emergency power supply: DC 24V two wire insulation system, communication, radio equipments use DC 24V two wire insulation system.

 

2. electrical power equipments

 diesel generator set

two diesel generators installed in engine room, model SB.HW4.D.120, 120KW, 3Ф, 400V, AC216.50A. Two generators are not parallel operated and linked to each other, one single generator can satisfy requirements of service. Grapple room installed on diesel engine shaft generator for grab(supplied together with grapple), model SB.HW4.D.50, 50KW, 3Ф, 400V, AC90.20A one set, used as service generator and not connected with the above mentioned diesel generator, to supply equipments in the grapple, working lamp and lighting system in grapple with electrical power.

 

 shore power

installed one shore power box 1 pc, model AJ110-50/3, 380V, electrical power supplied to the main power distribution board via shore power box. Installed CEFR type electrical cable 25mm2, 100m, for connection with shore power.

 

 transformer

installed in engine room CSD-10, 400V/230V, 50HZ, 10KVA main transformer two sets, each as standby transformer for each other. Installed in grapple room CSD-5, 400V/230V, 50HZ, 5KVA transformer one set, to supply 220V electrical power for lighting in grapple room and working lamp.

 

 low voltage power supply system

 low voltage power

installed two sets DC24V accumulator set, to supply power for emergency lighting, low voltage lighting, alarm, broadcasting, and communication equipments. When main power is out of work, low voltage 24VDC electrical power can automatically connect to the emergency lighting equipments. Accumulator model 6JC-195, 12V, 195Ah, eight pcs in total. Every four are parallel connected as one group, installed in the accumulator room of main deck.

2.4.2  power of radio equipments

Installed one set silicon rectifier charger, model GCA-30A~36V, input 220V AC as electrical power charger for accumulator.

 

3. power distribution equipments

 power distribution board

 general

installed one main power distribution board in engine room, of steel structure, floor type, back panel wiring, protecting grade IP22.

Installed one auxiliary power distribution board, of steel structure, wall hanging type, front panel wiring, protecting grade IP22.

 main power distribution board installed in engine room, breadth 1400mm, height 2000mm, thickness 600mm. Face plate are divided into two layers, upper face plate installed 45D1 type AC voltage meter for monitoring the operation of generator, electrical current meter, power meter, monitoring meter for insulation of electrical net and alternation switch, TO-100BA type main switch, button, indicating lamp and electric resistance of voltage of main generator. Lower face plate installed DZ20Y-100N, 380V and 220V load branch switch. Main switch of generator has the functions of protection of short circuit and overload and tripping. Branch switch has the function of protection of short circuit and overload. The two generators are inter connected to each other. Shore power is supplied via main power distribution board, and connected with main generator. Capable of emergency shut down power supply of vent and oil equipment in engine room via remote control.

 Auxiliary power distribution board installed in driving device room of grapple, breadth

 500mm, height 700mm, thickness 400mm. Face plate installed 45D1 series AC voltage

 meter, electrical current meter, power meter, alternation switch, TO-100BA type main

switch and DZ20Y-100N load branch switch. Main switch of generator has the functions of protection of short circuit and overload and tripping. The power distribution board can connect to the main power distribution board in the engine room via automatic switch. The switch is linked to main switch of shaft generator. Besides, the power distribution board can also supply electrical power to No.2 lighting electrical box and No.3 electrical box.

 

  charge and discharge board

 main  accumulator charge and discharge board

Installed in charge room of main deckhouse one low voltage charge and discharge of steel structure and wall hanging type. The face plate is divided into two layers, the upper plate installed 62C12 series DC voltage meter, electrical current meter, power supply indicating lamp to monitor the charge and discharge. The lower plate installed with discharge switch and load switch, DC24V switch electrical power. Shunt use DZ47-63 type switch and fuse for protection of overload and short circuit. When main power supply is out of work, emergency can automatically be put into use.

 wireless standby accumulator charge and discharge board

Installed in towing room one wireless standby accumulator of steel structure and wall hanging type. The face plate is divided into two layers, the upper plate installed 62C12 series DC voltage meter, electrical current meter, power supply indicating lamp to monitor the charge and discharge. The lower plate installed with discharge switch and load switch, DC24V switch electrical power. Charge and discharge type of it is floating charge and floating discharge.

 

 branch box

 installed in engine room one AC220V lighting branch box, to supply electrical power to engine room and storage cabin.

 Installed on main deck one AC220V lighting branch box, to supply electrical power to main deck, towing and lighting of deckhouse.

 Installed in towing room one AC220V lighting branch box, to supply electrical power to towing room, external walkway of main deck, external walkway of accommodation and also towing deck.

3.3.4  Installed in tool room one 3Ф branch box, to distribution power for welding machine, grinder(0.25KW), bench drill(0.55KW),etc.

3.3.5 Installed in galley one 3Ф, AC220V branch box.

3.3.6 Installed in engine room one 3Ф 380V branch box for ventilation and oil equipments. Main power distribution board branch switch of the power of the branch box equipped with tripling device, can be emergency shut down by the remote control button at the engine hatch.

4.1  power equipments in engine room supplied with power from main power distribution board, and controlled via magnetic starter of their own.

1) bilge ballast pump 1 set, model of electrical motor: Y160M-2H, 15KW, 29.4A, star-triangle start mode.

2) Main fire pump 1 set, model of electrical motor:  Y160M-2H, 15KW, 29.4A, star-triangle start mode.

3) Hydraulic station emergency pump 1 set, 11 KW, 22.6A, star-triangle start mode.

4) Fresh water pump 1 set, electrical motor model: Y90S-4H, 1.1KW, 2.7A, QC91 type starter. Automatic/ manual control

5) Grapple cooling pump 1 set, electrical motor model: Y112M-4-H, 4KW, 8.8A, QC91 type starter control.

 

4.2 ventilation and oil equipments are supplied with power via branch box of ventilation and oil equipments

1) suction fan and ventilator each of one set installed in engine room, electrical motor model: Y90S-4H, 1.1KW, 2.7A.

2) fuel oil transportation pump 1 set, electrical motor model: Y90L-4H, 1.5KW, 3.7A. Automatic/manual control.

3) Oil water separator 1 set installed in engine room, power 0.37KW.

4) Small size air compressor 1 set, electrical motor model: Y90S-4H, 1.1KW, 2.7A. Automatic/manual control.

 

4.3 deck equipment

lighting system

5.1 normal lighting

engine room, galley in main deckhouse, toilet, charge room and external walkway of it, storage cabin installed CCD1-2 type 220V 60W filament ceiling light, accumulator room installed CFD4 type 220V 60W Exd Ⅱ CT4 filament flame-proof light. Mess, crew room, towing room installed with fluorescent ceiling lamp JPY20-2E, crew room, mess etc. installed FB300-220J type electrical fan, 220V/25W bed lamp.

 

5.2 working lamp

1) grab hand installed 220V/500W project lamp, ceiling of grab house installed 220V/500W project lamp.

2) Ceiling deck installed two 500W/220V project lamp, for working lighting.

 

5.3 emergency lighting

installed DC24V emergency lighting system, power supply from low voltage charge and discharge board. When main power is out of work, DC24V electrical power will work automatically. Emergency lights include fluorescent lamp and small size filament light, and CCD5-2 type 24V 15W light.

 

5.4 plug

Installed in engine room and grapple room AV220V overhaul plug, to supply power for repairing tool.

Installed in engine room and grapple room DC24V low voltage plug, for lighting during repair time.

Installed in accommodation also used as towing house two DC24V plug, for portable daylight signaling light.

Installed in each crew room one AC220V plug.

 

navigation light, signal light

Navigation light and signal light are equipped and installed in compliance with requirements of China Classification Society. Installed in watch house also used as towing room control box of navigation and signal lights, to supply power for 220V, 60W single layer lamp of starboard and portside, one anchor lamp and stern light, CXH5-1, 220V 60W mast lamp 10 pcs(red 4pcs, green 4 pcs, white 2 pcs). Power supply to control box are of two ways, in normal condition one way via main power distribution board AC220V directly. When main power supply is out of work, the charge and discharge board will supply via inverter.

Installed one portable daylight signaling light, at suitable location of towing room.

Installed one signal research light, at the ceiling deck, supplied with power via AC220V lighting branch box of towing room.

 

communication and broadcasting equipments

7.1 installed in watching house also used as towing room, grapple operation room, engine room and left and right anchor windlass each with one sound powered telephone, for mutual communication.

Installed in towing room one alarm box, to send emergency alarm signal to the whole vessel.

Installed in towing room one fire alarm box, and fire alarm buttons at exit of each deck, engine room exit, and grapple room, to send fire alarm signals to the whole vessel.

 

7.2 Installed in watching house also used as towing room one 50KW loudspeaker, model: HKD-50D, in ceiling deck installed one 50KW horn loudspeaker, for external communication. Installed in each crew room, mess, engine room, grapple room and grapple control room woofer loudspeaker. Installed at left and right windlass control location RM-1F wall hanging remote control console, for communication, entrainment and command functions of the loudspeaker.

7.3 Installed one set diaphragm type siren, model Dg8.

 

radio equipment

Installed one set VHF radio telephone, life raft two-way VHF radio telephone 2 sets, safe signal receiving device one set, search and rescue radar responder one set.

 

electrical cables and others

9.1 normally use CEF90/SA type ethylene propylene rubber insulation and heat retarding duprene jacket bronze wire flame proof electrical cable. The voltage grade of the electrical is 0.6/1 kV.  

Electrical cable of radio equipments use CEF80/AS type thylene propylene rubber insulation and heat retarding duprene jacket bronze wire flame proof electrical cable. The voltage grade of the electrical is 0.6/1 kV.

Electrical cables of alarm system, emergency lighting system use CEF90/NA ethylene propylene rubber insulation and heat retarding duprene jacket bronze wire flame proof electrical cable. The voltage grade of the electrical is 0.6/1 kV.  

   Electrical cable in weather deck, mess and washroom use polyvinyl chloride jacket(CEF92 or CEF82 type).

   Shore power cable and electrical cable for portable device use marine flexible cable(CEFR type).

 

9.2 installation of of electrical equipments

Electrical equipments and layout of electrical cables are in compliance with CB/T3908.99 standard of marine layout of electrical cables and CB/T3909.99 standard of installation of marine electrical equipments.
