 How TSHD Works-Complete Technical Overview

 The Dredging Cycle(4 Phases)

1.**Loading Phase**

-Drag head descends to seabed

-Suction pipes activate

-Material flows into hopper

-Overflow system maintains optimal density

2.**Sailing to Disposal Site**

-Hopper doors closed and sealed

-Vessel navigates to designated area

-Typical speed:12-14knots(loaded)

3.**Discharge Phase**

-**Bottom Dumping**:Hopper doors open,gravity discharge

-**Rainbowing**:High-pressure pumps spray material

-**Shore Discharge**:Pipeline connection to land

4.*Return Voyage**

-Empty vessel returns to dredging site

-Cycle time:2-6 hours(depending on distance)

Key Systems Explained

**Drag Head System**

-Types:Plain,Visor,IHC Beaver(for different soil types)

-Working depth range:5m-115m

-Adjustable suction force

-Anti-clogging design

**Centrifugal Dredge Pump**

-Power range:3000-8000 kW

-Flow capacity:8000-15000 m³/h

-Wear-resistant materials (chromium alloy)

-Maintenance intervals:2000-3000 hours

**Overflow System**

-Function:Maintain optimal sediment density(65-70%)

-Automatic density sensors

-Weir height adjustment

-Maximizes payload efficiency

**Positioning&Navigation**

-DGPS(DifferentialGPS)accuracy:±0.5m

-Real-time dredging monitoring

-Automated track plotting

-Depth sensors and echo sounders
