On March 16, the construction ceremony of a deep-water crane vessel built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. for Guangzhou Salvage Bureau was held at Zhenhua Offshore.
According to the contract announcement, the contract value of the vessel is CNY1.1488 billion , with a total cost exceeding CNY1.1 billion .
The vessel has a total length of 138 meters, molded breadth of 55 meters, molded depth of 10 meters, design draft of 6.5 meters, and accommodation for 150 persons. It has unlimited navigation capability and meets Tier II emission standards.
The vessel is equipped with 142-meter pile legs, capable of conducting pile-insertion operations at a water depth of 90 meters, and can achieve a lifting height of 210 meters above the deck. It is fitted with a 1600-tonne leg-encircling crane.
Adopting a multi-task design philosophy, the vessel can be used for the transportation and hoisting of offshore wind turbine foundations, support towers, engine rooms and blades, while also supporting platform maintenance and living support functions, realizing the concept of “one vessel for multiple purposes, full-domain adaptation”.
Upon completion, the vessel will be mainly used for emergency rescue and salvage operations within 90 meters water depth in China’s jurisdictional sea areas, and also undertake offshore wind power and offshore oil and gas engineering projects.
